Trump Admin Live Updates: Trump says that USA, Mexico agreed to extend its current rate agreement for 90 days

President Donald Trump published on social networks that he and the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, agreed to extend the current tariff agreement between the United States and Mexico for 90 days to continue conversations.

“The complexities of an agreement with Mexico are somewhat different from other nations due to the problems and assets of the border. We have agreed to extend, for a period of 90 days, exactly the same treatment we had during the last period of time,” Trump wrote.

This means a 25% tariff on goods that do not meet the USMCA of Mexico, as well as a 50% rate on steel, aluminum, copper and derived products will remain in place.

According to Trump, Mexico agreed to immediately finish its non -tariff commercial barriers, according to Trump.
