Six children, including a 2 -month -old baby, were discovered locked in a storage unit in Milwaukee at dawn on Tuesday, authorities said.
Milwaukee police responded to a storage installation at approximately 1:36 am after receiving reports from trapped children in a storage unit, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officers found six children between 2 months and 9 years within the unit. The other children were 2, 3, 5 and 7, the police said.

Police shipping recordings obtained by ABC News revealed that the authorities initially believed that there were only two children inside the unit when they first arrived at the scene. Fire teams were called to help with the forced entrance to the storage locker.
No injuries have been reported, according to officials.
A 26 -year -old woman and a 33 -year -old man were arrested, according to the police. His positions are pending review of the Milwaukee County District Prosecutor’s Office.
“I’m confused. I don’t even know how to answer,” a man from the area told the ABC News Wisn affiliate. “Why would someone keep six children in a storage unit? For me, this sounds like a cry of help, they may only need help and did not know how to get it.”
