At least 14 people were shot, two fatally, including a teenager and a woman, at an intersection near Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday night, according to the police.
At least five of the shooting victims were hospitalized with potentially mortal wounds, Montgomery police chief, James Graboys, on a press conference on Sunday, said Sunday.
He said that seven of the shooting victims are under 17, and that the youngest is 16 years old.

The two people killed in the shooting were identified by grabs such as Jeremiah Morris, 17, and Sholanda Williams, 43.
The mayor of Montgomery, Steven Reed, said the shooting arose from a “disagreement that could have been avoided,” although he did not explain.
Reed said that a $ 50,000 reward was being offered for information that leads to the arrest of perpetrators.
Record said that, based on preliminary investigation, the shots exploded when an individual attacked in the shooting returned the fire. The boss said that once the shooting began, several people in the crowd took weapons and opened fire too.
Graboys said at least two of the shooting victims were armed.
Arrests have not been announced.
The mass shooting was developed around 11:31 pm near the intersection of Bibbs and Commerce streets, less than one mile west of the Capitol building of the state of Alabama, according to the police.
A group of people met at the intersection when the shots exploded, according to the police.
The officers went to the place after receiving shooting reports in the area. Upon arrival, the officers found several people injured by shots.
Detectives, according to police officers, are interviewing witnesses and combing through surveillance videos in an effort to identify suspects.
The Montgomery police request that anyone with information about the contact investigators immediately.
