The former NFL field marshal and current Sports color commentator, Mark Sánchez, who was arrested for multiple minor crimes after a physical altercation this weekend, now faces a serious crime of aggression that involves serious bodily injuries, prosecutors announced in Indianapolis.
The more serious it was added after the investigators learned of the severity of the victim’s injuries, Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears said at a press conference on Monday.
“This was a situation that didn’t have to happen,” Mears said.

“The accusations involve a 38 -year -old man involved in an altercation with a 69 -year -old man who suffered significant and very serious injuries” for a dispute over the parking lot, Mears said.
Mears said that other positions are possible, noting that they are still in “the early stages of this research.”
The early hours of Saturday, Sánchez allegedly approached a 69 -year -old truck driver who was doing his job assigned in a hotel carrying a dock and “intensified a dispute over the victim’s parking lot,” according to the police and prosecutors. Sanchez allegedly climbed into the truck and prevented the driver from asking for help before a fight broke out, according to judicial records.
The victim said that Sánchez pushed him when he tried to obtain his phone, and felt that he was “in physical danger”, so Pepper walked Sánchez, according to judicial documents.

When Sánchez supposedly advanced towards him again, the victim said he thought: “This guy is trying to kill me,” so he took out a knife, “and when Mr. Sánchez arrived at him,” the victim stabbed Sánchez several times, according to judicial documents.
The victim said he was “flying back to the garbage container and falling on the pallets on the ground”, and that “he was not aware of what Mr. Sánchez was doing physically, if he was hitting or hitting him,” said the judicial document. The victim said he could only see Sánchez’s feet “coming towards him”, and once the victim stood up, he stabbed Sánchez again, according to the documents.
Sanchez suffered several white weapon wounds in his torso, while the victim “suffered severe laceration next to his face, penetrating to his left cheek,” according to judicial documents.

Multiple angles of surveillance images captured the incident and the witnesses have presented, Mears said.
Sánchez was arrested in the hospital and initially accused of three minor crimes: drums with injuries, illegal entry of a motorized vehicle and public poisoning, police said.
Sánchez has resigned from an initial judicial hearing established for Tuesday for charges for minor crimes. A Conference Hearing prior to the trial for November 4 for the updated case has been established.
The sentence for the position of severe crime could be one to six years, Mears said.

The victim has filed a civil lawsuit against Sánchez and Fox.
Sánchez was in Indianapolis as part of the Transmission team for Sunday’s game between the Raiders of Las Vegas and the Indianapolis Colts. It did not end up calling the game.
Indianapolis Police Chief Christopher Bailey said Monday: “I don’t care who you are, I don’t care what you do to make a living … If you come to our city, it commits violence, we will use all the tools at our disposal to hold it responsible.”
Sanchez was the general selection number 5 of the New York Jets in 2009 after taking USC to a 12-1 record over Penn State at the Rose Bowl. He led the Jets to consecutive appearances in the AFC championship in his first two seasons, but he had only 14-17 with 39 TouchDowns and 36 interceptions in his next two seasons.
He had a short stops in Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington, but never played again in the playoffs after his first two seasons.
