A large -scale response is being made in Sacramento after a medical services helicopter crashed on Highway 50, closing traffic to the east on Monday night.
Multiple crew members were taken to hospitals in the area, according to a statement from the medical services.

No patient was on board, the company said.
The helicopter seemed to have taken off from the UC Davis Medical Center when he crashed, according to flight tracking data.

The California road patrol said it will work with the National Transportation Security Board and the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate and decide when the remains of the highway can be transferred.
“We are in the process of determining the details of this situation, as well as the condition of the crew of scope involved,” said the company.
