A man in Florida was arrested for shooting at his neighbor’s cow five times after he wandered for his property, police said.
The incident occurred at North Fort Myers in Florida on May 13 when members of the Agriculture Unit of the Lee County Sheriff responded to a call from a Sharon Drive ranch regarding animal cruelty reports, according to a statement from the Lee County Sheriff’s office.
“The agents were informed that a victim located his 2 -year calf in the neighbor’s property with five bullet wounds in the bowels, chest and the rear,” said the police. “Due to calf injuries, a veterinarian determined that the calf needed to be sacrificed.”
The owner of the Vaca declared that the neighbor, Hung Trinh, 54, had been “angry in the past for the cattle jumping the fence and threatened to shoot the animals,” according to the authorities.

The first enclosure detectives ended up obtaining a search warrant and were able to locate the .22 gun supposedly used in the shooting in a shed on Trinh’s property.
“There will be responsibility to eliminate your frustrations on innocent animals, in this case multiple serious crimes and time in jail,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “We know how much these animals mean for our agricultural community, and we will not tolerate these actions. I am proud of my agricultural unit for their immediate response and their ability to make an arrest in this case.”
Trinh was accused of animal cruelty and great theft of a commercial farm animal.
Incident research is currently in progress.
