The governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, said on Saturday that despite his repeated rejections for federal mobilization to Chicago, President Donald Trump will send 300 national guards as tensions between local leaders and the federal government are warmed.
Pritzker said in publications on social networks that the Trump administration gave an ultimatum: “Call your troops or we will.”
“In the next few hours, the Trump administration intends to federalize 300 members of the Illinois National Guard,” said the governor.

The secretary of the National Security Department, Kristi Noem, confirmed the order during an interview with Conservator Benny Johnson on Friday.
“I sent a request to [Defense] Secretary [Pete] Hegseth. It will enter the next 24 hours. I asked Chicago for a request, “said Noem and added that he also submitted a request for Portland, Oregon.
The request occurred after the police patrolled near the intersection of the 39th place and S. Kedzie Avenue in Chicago fired a “uninformed American citizen” not identified on Saturday morning that was allegedly on the radar of national security, according to the first DHS spokesperson.

Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary of Public Affairs in the DHS, said in an X position that she was supposedly “haunted by vehicles and encased by 10 cars”, which caused a fight.
“The agents could not move their vehicles and left the car. One of the drivers that rammed the police vehicle was armed with a semi -automatic weapon.
Noem said he was sending reinforcements to Chicago.
“I am deploying more special operations to control the scene. The reinforcements are on their way. If you see an officer of the law today, please,” he said in a statement.
During the last month, Trump has threatened to send the National Guard to the cities, particularly those of the Democrats, to stop the crime and reinforce the agents of immigration application.

The National Guard displayed to Washington, DC, in August and the members of the service were sent to traffic, parks and other areas.
“This country is a country of laws. If you don’t like laws, go change them. We are enforcing them. That is sending a message to everyone,” Noem told Johnson Friday.
Pritzker has not been shy about his opposition to Trump and his federal deployment threats
“They will get the workers’ workers out of their regular works and far from their families to participate in a manufactured performance, not a serious effort to protect public safety. For Donald Trump, this has never been treated for security. It is about control,” said the governor.

Prtizker criticized Noem and the head of the Border Patrol, Greg Bovino, who was in Illinois on Friday watching ice raids, for “scalters of unprecedented aggression against citizens and residents of Illinois.”
During an alleged encounter with ICE in Chicago on Friday, the border patrol agents seemed to deploy a chemical agent in people from a vehicle, according to the video taken by the spectators that was reviewed by ABC News.
Andrew Denton told ABC News that he witnessed the incident. Denton said he parked his car to buy food when he heard a shock, he approached and “saw a guy with a scooter blocking the white truck.”
“No one was being violent, just swearing and the intermediate fingers are thrown. Then I noticed that the ice agents in the truck. They surrounded the window and threw the tear gas. My face was burning, the tears rolling, and I drowned in the gas for about 10 minutes,” he said.
“Once again, there was no reason to tear us. No one was protesting or anything. People were upset about ice there,” Denton added.
The DHS did not return messages to ABC News to comment on the incident.

In another incident during the ICE activity on Friday, Chicago Ald. Jessie Fuentes said he was in Humboldt Park Health when he was handcuffed by an agent when he questioned them and requested a court order.
The administration promoted its ice efforts in Chicago.
Noem published a video produced on X, which had films and clips action music that made arrests.
“Chicago, we are here for you,” Noem said in the publication.
PRTIZKER criticized Noem, who has made several ads and publications in social networks by joining Ice Raids, for his rhetoric.
“None of that was in search of justice, but everything was looking for videos of social networks,” he said.
