Sean 'Diddy' combs' lawyers claim that the judge "acted as a jury 13," promised to appeal

After his client received a sentence four times longer they requested, Sean “Diddy” lawyers argue that the judge is punishing the rap magnate for the crimes that is innocent.

In exclusive interviews with two key members of the combs defense team, his lawyers told ABC News on Friday that they are considering appealing the case and argued that Comps is being unfairly punished.

“The jury made it very clear in his verdict that absolute him for sexual trafficking and rich counts,” said the main lawyer, Tey Geragos. “Not guilty means not guilty.”

Combs was sentenced to more than four years in prison for his sentence for two crimes related to prostitution. You will obtain credit for the 12 months to which you have already fulfilled, as well as you will receive a fine of $ 500,000.

Geragos reiterated that combs is a “changed man” and rebuked the statement of prosecutors that rap magnate is trying to avoid responsibility for his actions.

“I can say that, from the bottom of my heart, with all the hours I spent preparing for the trial, that he is a man changed,” Geragos said.

The combs lawyers have said that their appeal will focus on the argument that the judge unfairly considered the conduct for which ComBs was acquitted. Finding non -guilty combs of sex trafficking, lawyers said, the jury concluded that the combs did not use strength or coercion in their victims.

“That was totally inconsistent with the jury’s verdict. The judge acted as a jury 13,” said lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, who will direct the appeal of Combs. “The sentence was promoted by the conduct that the jury rejected. The jury acquitted Mr. combs of any coercion.”

“The court is not sure that if they are released, these crimes would not commit again,” said the judge. Subramanian said that his sentence should send a message to other survivors of domestic abuse that “violence against women faces real responsibility.”

When Aaron Katersky, Shapiro, acknowledged that some of the trials at the trial, including a video of the Ventura assault in a hotel in a California hotel, recognized some of the tests in the trial, including a video of the Ventura assault in a California hotel.

“The video was the worst in the case,” he said, arguing that Comps has owned his violent past.

“We accept domestic violence. We take possession and accept the responsibility of it. We said that from day one. I said that again and again in the trial, but domestic violence is not what was declared guilty,” Geragos added.

Shapiro argued that the long prayer reaches the goal of the rehabilitation of the combs, which he promised during his sentence to lead a new life if he is given a second chance.

“What is the point of more imprisonment for a person like Mr. Combs? He really should be on his way to rehabilitation. He should be able to receive treatment. He should be able to start in a way that I think he is positioned in a unique way, and seems insensitive to keep him in prison for years,” he said.

Among his year in prison, the damage to his reputation, professional damage and an avalanche of civil lawsuits, Shapiro argued that combs has been punished enough for his crimes.

“That message has been sent in swords. Mr. Combs has been destroyed for all this, and additional imprisonment is not needed to send a message against domestic violence,” he said.
