New York and London – the Polish airspace was violated by a “large number” of Russian drones during the night, said the country’s prime minister, a torrent of activity that caused a response from the NATO country air force, which revoked and demolished several of the drones.
“Those drones that represented a direct threat were demolished,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk saying Early Wednesday on social networks. “I am in constant communication with the secretary general of NATO and our allies.”
Poles and allied airplanes, including Dutch F-35 combat planes, were in the air during the night to “help guarantee dream in the Polish heavens,” said the military. Those operations ended early on Wednesday, Warsaw said, added that the search continued with fallen drones and possible impact sites.

The country’s military command described violations as “unprecedented”, saying that they were equivalent to “an act of aggression that represented a real threat to the security of our citizens.”
NATO general secretary, Mark Rutte, was “consulting closely with Poland,” Allison Hart, spokesman for the block, saying In social networks. She confirmed that “numerous” drones had entered Poland and said that NATO’s defenses had been activated.
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Wednesday on Wednesday described the rape as “another step of climbing”, saying that at least eight Russian drones had entered the Polish airspace.
“An extremely dangerous precedent for Europe,” he said in Ukrainian in the Telegram messaging application.
It was not clear immediately if Russia had intended to send the drones to NATO airspace. It is known that Russian and Ukrainian drones get out of the course during long -range attacks due to electronic war measures used by combatants.
The Kremlin did not immediately issue a statement, but Zelenskyy positioned the rape as anything except an accident, saying that he could have considered one if it had only been a drone that crossed the border.
Zelenskyy asked for consequences for Russia, saying that Moscow “must feel that the war cannot expand and that it must end.”

Military officers in Poland said that the country’s airspace was “repeatedly violated by drone objects” at night in the middle of Russian attacks on the objectives in Ukraine.
“An operation is underway to identify and neutralize objects,” said the Polish army in one of its initial statements, each of which urged people to stay at home.
The most threatened areas had been Podlaskie, Mazowieckie and Lubelskie, Poland said. Poles security services said they sent an SMS message to cell phones in the area, sending the type of alert that has become a nighttime occurrence in neighboring Ukraine.
Previously, the Polish army said he had scrambled the planes and that he was taking “preventive” measures during the “mass attack” carried out by Russia in the facilities in Ukraine.

“Poles and allied airplanes are operating in our airspace, and the air defense systems and radar recognition on land have reached the highest state of preparation,” said the military in the previous statement.
Tusk, the Polish Prime Minister, convened an extraordinary government meeting on Wednesday, gathering military and emergency officers of the country.
The Vice Primer Polish Minister RadosÅ‚aw Sikorski, who also serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs, met before that meeting with Andrii Sybiha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, according to Poland. Jacek Najder, representative of Poland before NATO, was also present, said the country’s foreign ministry.
“The safety of Polish women and men is the highest priority,” the ministry said before the meeting.
Tusk at the emergency cabinet meeting said that “there was no reason to panic,” according to the Foreign Ministry.
“The procedures were properly implemented, the decision -making process was impeccable and the threat was effectively eliminated thanks to the actions resolved by the commanders, the soldiers and our allies,” Tusk said during the meeting, according to his office. “I am deeply grateful.”
