The leader of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, tried on Wednesday of forcing the approval of a bill that would prohibit any foreign plane, including the Qatar plane that the Pentagon accepted earlier in the day, of being used as Air Force One.

Schumer tried to use unanimous consent to approve the bill, but was blocked by a Republican senator, as expected.

“This gift shouts national security risk. It is bribery in broad daylight. Donald Trump is polishing the nose to the Republicans and practically dares them to stop him,” Schumer said on the floor.

After reading the summary of the bill, Schumer said: “It is about guaranteeing our national security and not wasting taxpayers’ dollars in a completely meaningless agreement. It should not take a law of the Congress to prevent the president of the United States from accepting the greatest foreign bribery in modern history.”

“The Senate Republicans who say they are concerned about the idea of using a foreign plane, since the One Air Force should join me to support this very common law of the law. Donald Trump accepting this gift of corruption and naked self -confidence. And the Republicans should stand up and support my bill,” he said.

Republican senator Roger Marshall de Kansas opposed the application for unanimous consent and finally blocked the bill of greater consideration.
