Trump predicts the 'great week' in the Russian-Ukraine peace conversations, Zelenskyy sees 'positive sign'

London – President Donald Trump suggested imminent progress in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in a position to Truth Social on Sunday on Sunday, saying that “he would continue working with both parties” to end the invasion of his 3 -year -old neighbor of Moscow.

“A potentially great day for Russia and Ukraine!” Trump wrote. “Think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that will be saved since this” Bloodbath “never ends up coming to an end. It will be a completely new and much better world.”

“I will continue working with both sides to make sure it happens.” Trump continued. “The United States wants to concentrate, on the other hand, in reconstruction and trade. A great next week!”

The president has expressed his frustration with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the failure of the peace efforts led by the United States.

Trump’s latest comments occur after Putin announced a high unilateral fire fire that covers the celebrations of Russia’s Victory Day, marking the anniversary of the defeat of the Soviet Union of the Nazi Germany in 1945. Ukraine, which did not agree with the high fire, said the Russian forces repeatedly violated the pause proposed by Putin in the fighting. The high Putin’s fire ended on Saturday.

Zelenskyy, on the other hand, offered a high 30 -day fire. On Sunday, after the conversations with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Poland in kyiv, Zelenskyy said in a telegram post that he and his fellow leaders agreed that “a high full and unconditional fire” should begin on May 12.

Putin has not accepted Zelenskyy’s proposal, although in a Sunday statement he offered direct conversations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul on Thursday.

“Russia is ready for negotiations without previous conditions,” Putin said in a statement. “They are underway at this time, a war, and we are proposing to resume negotiations that were not interrupted by us. What’s wrong with that? Those who really want peace cannot stop supporting this.”

In response, Zelenskyy said in a publication to Telegram that Putin’s offer was “a positive sign.”

“The first step in the real end of any war is a high fire,” added the Ukrainian president. “It makes no sense to continue the murders even for one day. We hope that Russia confirms a high fire, complete, durable and reliable, starting tomorrow, on May 12 and Ukraine is ready to meet.”
