Among the cases confirmed nationwide, CDCs say that 95% are among people who are not vaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown.

Meanwhile, 2% of cases are among those who have received only one dose of the measles vaccine, papers, rubella (MMR) and 3% of cases are among those who received the two required doses, according to CDC.

At least two school -age children have died. Both were not vaccinated and did not know underlying conditions, according to Texas health officials.

A third death was recorded in measles in New Mexico between a non -vaccinated adult who tested positive after dying, according to the New Mexico Department of Health.
